Rochelle Skelton – Director of Women’s Ministries

Rochelle wasn’t raised in church, and she and her husband were not believers when they married in 1992. The circumstances and cares of this world nearly drove them to divorce. The Lord intervened and used her broken heart over her husband to save her soul. She heard Pastor Bob on the radio, which is what led her to Calvary Chapel, and she has fellowshipped here ever since. Her husband was saved a short time later. The Lord has completely restored her marriage and given them three awesome energetic boys.

From the moment she was saved, Rochelle says that the Lord gave her a heart to serve women. He first gave her the zeal, but allowed her to grow in the knowledge of Jesus before stepping out. Initially she did one-on-one discipling, then began teaching a women’s Bible study in 2001. For years she has worked alongside Cathy Caldwell in the Women’s Ministry. Recently, it was a great joy for her when Cathy asked her to take on the oversight of Women’s Ministries. She looks forward to seeing women grow in their walks with Jesus and stepping out in faith to exercise the gifts God has given to each one of them.
