Calendar of EventsBible Studies
Rochelle Skelton

Welcome.

I hope you’ll find that this website provides a variety of resources aimed at serving God’s girls—no matter their age or stage of life. We think all women will find something to love here. Browse around. Be inspired by features such as the Encouraging Word column, The Woman of the Word Bible lesson and Becky Avella’s heartfelt Real Life—a weekly blog. Get to know more about other ladies in the fellowship as you read the fascinating life stories shared in the Sisters of the Heart, and Women in Mission sections; check out our book reviews for reading recommendations, explore the online Bible studies listed under resources, and use the calendar to make sure upcoming events are part of your plans.

Most of all, please check out our roster of Bible Studies. They meet every weekday, both mornings and evenings. So whether you’re a stay-at-home executive or busy in the workforce, there’s surely one that fits your schedule. You’ll also find content that suits you, too. Some studies, such as the weekly Mom’s Refresher are aimed at specific circumstances or stages in life. Others delve into a book of the Bible or a particular topic such as prayer.

Whatever your age or situation, I want to personally encourage you to join a study group. As you grow in God’s Word you’ll also develop lasting friendships. No website can take the place of the human touch and nothing draws friends together like the love of God. Studying His Word is the healthiest thing you can do for yourself and the people you care about. Christians are not immune to life’s hardships. Knowing the Bible is like having a secret weapon no matter what the battle. Having a circle of friends who will pray with you, and offer their own insight offers extra comfort and strength. Joining with other women in a focused study of God’s Word is a very wise thing to do. Together you’ll learn to look to Jesus for peace and joy in the midst of difficulties—to “count it all joy”—as James 1:2 encourages us.

As Director of Women’s Ministries I pray that every woman is involved in daily personal prayer and weekly fellowship with other women. I also want to encourage you to get in touch with me personally. Dash off an email if you have any questions, concerns or ideas about ways we can better help you “to know Jesus and make Him known.” I look forward to meeting you personally, in the meantime, know that God loves you very much and so do I.

God bless you,

Rochelle
